We have been busy clearing our local trails for guests wanting to Hike in the Blue Mountains of Jamaica. It appears that the responsibility for clearing our local trails has fallen on Lime Tree Farm! Hundreds of walking trails in Jamaica have , or will soon be lost due to little or no use. In days long gone by, these were the only means of getting from A to B – sometimes meaning a return journey spread over several days. Now, with more vehicular transport available throughout the island, and of course a generational shift, walking long distances through the bush has become unnecessary. Our local trails, untainted by humans are amongst the most unspoiled and scenic on the island. Clearing them is hard work and takes several days, even with motorized tools! However, it is worth the hard graft for the privilege of the panoramic views they provide.
