A guest recently asked my advice regarding hiring a car and driving in the Blue Mountains of Jamaica. Put simply – after the main road ends at Mavis Bank, pretty well, a 4 wheel drive is necessary ( an expensive vehicle to hire). The best advice I could give was to pay for a transfer to Lime Tree Farm, and following the stay, transfer back to Kingston to pick up a hire car and continue around the island – far more economical – and far less stressful.
